Sunday Newspaper Coupon Inserts Preview 2/27/11

Well Lemonade friends, last weeks dismal coupons in the newspaper, left much to be desired...yes?   How about two inserts this weekend with some pretty good finds.  Mentos coupons are back in the SmartSource!  Love that.  Probably some good FREEBIES soon for that coupon. Caribou coffee $2/1 is a boon for any sale that makes it less than $2/lb.  And it will more than likely happan at places like ShopRite..so keep an eye out!   P&G is also included this week - so you'll want to grab a couple of newspapers to get the most out of your savings.   Awesome $2.00 off Downy coupon...I love it when they do that.  CHEAP Downey deals on the way!  No Redplum inserts this week.  Don't worry, they'll be back next week though.

My "To do while I'm alive" list ....and one Grand Central Flash Mob!

I have a "Life List" - you know,  a list of things I want to do while I am still alive on this earth.  My husband, Mr. Lemonade, thinks that its cool to take those things off my list by doing them..you're about to meet the Mr. - he's a complete camera ham.

Over the weekend just before Valentine's day, he took me to NYC to knock off a few of the items on my list.  This is where it went, well...in a shorten version, very geeky vlog sort of way...

UPDATE:   Ooohhhh I was right!!  There WAS a flashmob! Holy Christmas...we missed it by like 1/2 hour  because we headed off to Dinner Reservations.  (bummed face - but then again...happy face cause it WAS dinner with Mr. L after all...rationalization always helps.)

Oh yeah. Food Blog of the Day - Fontina Polenta Pie w/ Beef & Mushrooms

The wind is just howling outside...but the toasty nature of our woodburning fireplace cuts the chill in the air.  It got me to thinking, there really is nothing so heartwarming as a good homecooked meal that truly fits the bill on a day like this.  Am I right?  Or am I right. 

This blogger caught my attention recently and I just have to share it with you because, oh dear Lemonade friends...it looks amazing!  And yes, even to a vegetarian.  (I still cook for the non-vege-heads in my house, remember?) 

Ms. Meseidy - I like to call her by her first name because maybe if we were truly friends, perhaps I could eat at her table...(I digress).  Ms. Meseidy, made the MOST luxurious Fontina Polenta Pie with Beef & Mushrooms and it appeals to my pretty eyeballs ...a bit like the perfect icing to a cupcake.   Just look at this:

Gorgeous right?  There is something very earthy and homey about it.  Ms. M recently Tweeted about this very creation by saying this:

Oh I just adore her.  Couldn't have put it any better than that!  I swear you'll all *sigh* and tummy's will growl when you see how she lays out the work needed to make these.   Do jump over here and tell her what a great job she has done with this!  You'll thank me later when you are happy, satiated and joyfully-full from this meal and Ms. Meseidy's goodness.
