Relaunching with changes  -  So please hang tight with us!

Yeah I'm good with change...er, maybe not...

When I married my husband, I thought I was spontaneous and quite possibly even "radiant" about "Change".  I had afterall, crossed the country to be living out a great adventure in New York.  So I must be gloriously ok with all that comes with "change".   Unfortunately, it was through being married to my husband that I learned, I was really not friends with "change" at all.  (funny how marriage can will tell you the truth about yourself..huh)

My husband seems to me to be the very definition of "change" and quite frequently offers up something new to do, see or explore.   He loves change.   He embraces it so much that he has absolutely no reservations about uprooting whole sections of the house on a whim, or slapping a new colorful paint on the walls in an attempt to create "change" .

On more than one occassion, I have walked into the kitchen that my husband had just cleaned.  As any happy wife would be, my reaction was, "So nice to come into this clean room!  What lovely gesture!"  Until the next morning, when I would re-enter that same kitchen, only to realize that my dinner plates had been moved from one cupboard to another, on the opposite side of the room.  The blender was suddenly cuddling up against the refrigerator  - when it used to be perfectly situated by the stove.   All of the utensils had suddenly shifted drawers and my oven mitts were nowhere near the oven.  (Eeeeyyyyy!)  No, I didn't handle this well.   Not well at all.  And immediately went back to work,  putting everything where it "should be".

After a short time, we both could see "change" seemed to mess with me. (It seriously messed with me!!)  I didn't welcome a shift in my schedule, anymore than a shift in my kitchen.   While I loved adventure, I did not like the kind that popped up on me without a little warning.   "Change" needed to grow on me a bit.

Thankfully, God has been working on me to teach me that "Change" can mean I'll experience something potentially great, if I let go and flow with it to see where it leads.  More recently, I've found less discomfort in the idea - it has certainly helped to have watched my husband find unbelievable freedom in "change".  So maybe it isn't so surprising to see what is happening at The Lemonade Connection.

When I first started this site, I fully intended it to be about couponing and saving money.  That is afterall, how I made Lemonade with our life's Lemons.  But in the past year, I've come to realize a few more things:

a) There are many ways to make Lemonade - not just through finances.
b) I miss writing from the heart. And entering the deals of the day - isn't satisfying that need very much (gut honest).
c) Other people have Lemonade stories, ideas and ingredients for living that need to be shared.

So I am about to welcome  "change".   You will still see a few blips about saving money with coupons, here and there...and I sure hope you'll continue to thrive by using coupons.   But I think its time we start to talk about how to make Lemonade in other parts of our lives.

I'm pretty excited about all that's coming.  And I can not wait to share these things with you!  If you're like me and you need a bit of time to let these things sink in...don't worry, you have a few weeks to adjust.  (grinning)   Be assured that any quiet you may find here, only means I am hard at work on ideas, concepts and redesigning efforts.   So hang tight my friends!

Oh and one more thing.  I am busy building a team over here.  And I am still looking for a few Lemonade Contributors to join us.

HELP WANTED:  Do you have a topic that you're passionate about?  Do you know how to make a particular part of life into sweet Lemonade?   Want to have fun writing, video blogging and working toward inspiring others?  Send me an email here!  I want to hear from you.

Thank you for your precious gift of time my friends.   Leave me a note or comment if you like, I always appreciate your words in return.

Be blessed!
